poem for age

silent tears i can only seem to cry
tears of certainty
of uncertainty
tears of raw understanding of this life
so simple yet so difficult to understand sometimes

so easy in theory to comprehend this is just a few years' stay
but feelin' that's all there is to this movie we starr
inevitably and naturally bound to end

some day, far away

i tried singind a melody to chase this blues away
but my voice seemed to crack all the way
it's never easy to watch your blood grow old
reminding you ur gonna miss em,
reminding you that u as well are growing older

with age comes enlightment
with age goes innocence
and i wonder
would ive preferred to stay innocent, unsuffered and in the dark?

ive always been the type of kid who had to know everything
i used to wonder what the universe looked like
and thats why sometimes im lookin for answers
im never gonna get
and that's the biggest thing i got to learn
